Characteristics of specialized libraries:

Specialized libraries (faculty, institute and chairs) provide library and information services first to researchers, doctoral students and students of the unit to which + the library belongs, and then to users from other WUT units and readers from outside the university.
College libraries primarily meet the expectations and needs of students. The Institute and Chair Libraries primarily support the research and teaching activities of faculty and doctoral students in their home units.
The primary task of specialized libraries is to select relevant literature and provide appropriate and equitable access to the library’s collections. Therefore, library materials are collected according to the field of study and the scope of research activities conducted in each faculty, institute or chair.

The scope of services offered by WUT Specialized Libraries is determined by the Mandatory Regulations for Access to Collections and the Provision of Information Services for the WUT Library System.
